WATCH: Gold Bloom Shares New Video For "F.M.L."

Gold Bloom, your new favorite pop punk boy band, have proven themselves time and time again as one of the most underrated bands in the UK rock scene. Praised by Alternative Press as having a “strong case for becoming your latest UK obsession,” the Double or Nothing EP made a significant impact in 2022. Building on their success, the band have upped the stakes by signing with A Wolf at Your Door Records for their upcoming releases. Most recently, the band made an appearance at Make a Scene Festival in Middlesbrough last weekend.
The band have shared their new single & music video “F.M.L.,” available to stream now on all DSPs worldwide. The track will be featured on the band’s new EP Hazy, confirmed for release on October 27th.
“F.M.L.” is a melancholic track that explores the blend of laziness, depression, and boredom while embracing the paradoxical resistance of advice from those who want to help. Its corresponding visual pays homage to Saves the Day’s iconic “Shoulder to the Wheel” house party video, which inspired an entire generation of pop punk music videos.
Lead singer Benji Yapp says, “Hazy is us really starting to flex our muscles in terms of songwriting and not being afraid to try something different, we love a risk. Going into the writing for this EP we really had no set plan or direction we wanted to take, which is partly where the name Hazy comes from, but that haziness allowed us to just write the songs we wanted and what we really enjoyed which I believe really shines through in the songs. From trap beats to queen-esque harmonies, we really wanted to expand our sound musically, everyone in the band has such diverse music taste so it only felt natural to incorporate those influences into the songs. Being in Gold Bloom is an absolute joy for us and we really hope that joy translates in the music."
