LISTEN: Internet Tears Debut New Single "I WANT YOU"

Fresh on the heels of its poignant single "Death & His Friends," Connecticut-based indie pop band Internet Tears returns to usher in spring with its inviting new single "I Want You" available now on via Black Barrel Records.

Capturing the thrilling excitement of having a crush, and the unquenchable yearning we can feel when we encounter someone who gives us butterflies, "I Want You" was born from the personal dating experiences of the band’s frontman Daniel Louis and features a glowing blend of expansive rhythms and melodies that echo as boldly as a heartbeat.

“‘I Want You’ is about someone that I dated, and as I was asking them to be mine, I wrote this and presented this song to them. The funny, ironic thing is that it’s coming out after we broke up." - Daniel Louis, Internet Tears

With its shimmering arrangement and flirtatious lyrics that speak to the romantic dreamer in all of us, "I Want You" makes the perfect addition to any spring playlist.

Fans can get a taste of Internet Tears’ charismatic live performance style in the accompanying visual shot at New York City’s famed music venue The Bowery Electric. The video perfectly matches the luminous vibe of the song and is available to watch below.

The band will make their debut at Launch Music Conference in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, on April 26, where it will perform as part of a lineup with labelmates The Inside Out, as well as other indie acts such as XPRESIDENTS and Maro DēLo. The event, which will take place at 5pm at the Stage at Penn Square in downtown Lancaster, is free and open to the public. For more information, visit launchmusicconference.com.

Comprising Daniel Louis (vocals), Zack Apuzzo (drums), Esteban Rivera (bass guitar), and Chris "Leap Frog Jones" Strachan (lead guitar), Internet Tears has begun to establish itself as a rising force in indie pop, incorporating colorful tints of pop-rock, synth-punk and synthwave in its enveloping compositions that explore themes such as self-empowerment and relationships. The partnership between Internet Tears and Black Barrel Records will see the band release more new singles via the Connecticut-based label throughout the year.
